What's New in World Geography?

DCA's 1 and 2 are now available electronically in the District Social Studies Folder

• Alief secondary social studies teachers have access to the folder.
• Look in the "Old DCA's" subfolder in "2009-2010" and "Grade 9".

The latest draft of the TEKS revisions for World Geography are posted on TEA's website.

• Look them over.
• The State Board of Education is scheduled to adopt the revisions in the Spring of 2010 for implementation in the Fall.
• Alief Social Studies will include the revised TEKS in revisions to the World Geography Pacing Guide.

AP Human Geography will be offered in all Alief High Schools in the Fall of 2010.
